Marc was amazing. He went through the house with a fine tooth comb, and pictures of everything. In less than 8 hours the report was in my E-mail. The binder with all the color pictures, summary report and details was extremely helpful. As I scheduled repairs, I was told that “those home inspector are pretty useless”. Well, after being at my house, they wanted to know who had done the inspection, because it was spot on. Worth every penny!

We arranged everything ourselves and were very pleased with Marc’s responsiveness to our phone calls and emails. His schedule did not fit our time frame initially, but we are so glad we waited an extra day for his services, foregoing another company we had been considering.

At the home inspection, he was punctual and spent quality time inspecting the home and answering all questions thoroughly and elaboring on all of his findings/concerns. He was very professional, friendly, and yet perfectly thorough at the same time! His email report with photos was sent that evening as promised, and he also responded promptly to an email security access problem we encountered due to our error. We will spread the word regarding Marc’s services!

We are from Hawaii and are pleased to say he exhibits the aloha spirit while performing EXTREMELY detailed work! He spent more than 2 hours from the time he arrived to the time he left!

Marcus was excellent! I have purchased several homes and never had such a thorough home inspection. Marcus told me about things that needed to be fixed to move in, as well as, things that I should be aware of for the future. He was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the house and answered all my questions. He provided me with not only a soft copy of my report, but a binder with a full report and color photos. He was very professional, courteous, and friendly. I will definitely recommend him and his company to everyone I know.

I selected Marc Richter with Hands-On Home Inspection from Angies’s list and my impression of him over the phone. His service was excellent. I’ve bought and sold four homes over the years. He was agreeable to a Sunday afternoon inspection. He was punctual, knowledgeable, thorough, concise, and clear in his communication. He’s not silly-nit-picky but he didn’t miss anything that I could discern (admittedly I’m not an expert at judging this….which is why I hired him, after all…). His inspection included the roof and pool, which many charge extra or. He entered all the attic spaces and didn’t shy from dark dusty corners; he’s fit, which helps! His report was delivered by email pdf and he drove and delivered the hard-copy binder (>50 page with photos embedded in the report) to my then residence the next day. His report was clear and articulate and he provided me some solid recommendations for contractors who provided competent free estimates for repair work. Perhaps it’s because we are both from Wisconsin, but he was very agreeable and the several hours in his company was very pleasant. I didn’t shadow him the entire time, but when he found something meriting my attention he came back in to find and show me all the important features of the house (good and not-so-good). Strongly recommend him for home inspection!

He had to go a long way out of town and was on time and at no extra charge,and that was amazing in its self. He took his time to do a very in depth inspection , all the while answereing all questions ( and there were a lot ) as he went along.He was more concerned about helping us then trying to get done and leave. this company will be highly recomended by me!
